Today on TH John Hawkins ( http://www.townhall.com/columnists/JohnHawkins/2007/04/27/10_differences_between_conservatives_and_liberals) has a column about the differences between libs and conservatives. Naturally it brings about the trolls who have nothing intelligent in their responses that would rebut it. They do not like to be called to the carpet with how their thought process works...I do know that if you give them examples they come up with things that don't make sense or they change the subject. Acetate posted a comment that I believe is too good not to put here! I give it a 10!!!
Yes, for liberals, there's always a bigger picture, which goes beyond national concerns, beyond the individual, beyond the practical into the imaginary and extending beyond human reality well into the world of fantasy.
In pursuing their feel good imaginary world, they've convinced themselves that their goals are so noble that they are not to be constrained by the normal conventions of human interactions. Thus duplicity, cheating, lies, property confiscation, legal theft, brutally enforced regimentation, dishonor, treason, any and all reprehensible behavior is acceptable for the elites in pursuit of their noble intents, while self enrichment and acquisition of power is a perfectly acceptable contingency which the nobly intentioned so richly deserve.

On a TH column Icedog posted something that was said in his son's 10th Grade Class: "People who believe in helping others vote Democrat, and people who believe it's ok to steal resources from other countries vote Republican".

Conservatives have been saying for a long time that the democrats want a return to a communist/socialist society…and the left is in constant denial. !00% accountability by the government alone for all. This would be the extinction of capitalism, healthcare for the masses, taxes, taxes, taxes and a completely stagnant growth factor. If anyone remembers the fall of communism in Russia…
Everything such as food, clothing, durable goods (washing machines, for example) and the like had become scarce..
Does the left bother to ask themselves why? Absolutely not. Why? Because the people were tired of busting their asses day in and day out only to find at the end of the day, they had zilch to show for it. Did it make sense to farm a thousand acres of wheat, yet end up with no flour, or even bread to eat? Staples were mainly found on the black market. Suddenly, they realized, why bother to bust it when I cannot benefit?
What is the point of this? The point is that if the everyday average joe continues to stick his head in the sand, one day, this is where we will be.

We are proletarian internationalists. We should promote respect for the cultures and languages of oppressed peoples and equality among all nationalities

Don't insult or ridicule other people's race or nationality, not even in jokes.

Don't use your position as political leader among the masses for personal gain -- financially, to take sexual advantage, etc.
(You mean like Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy, Bubba Clinton, Hilary, Soros, Moore)
Don't attempt to get people to support or join the Party by threatening them. Party members must use the method of persuasion and education among the masses.
**(No, don’t do that, just go on your blogs and talk about what crazy right wing nuts we are to believe in Freedom!)
Don't poster or graffiti the businesses or homes of small property owners without their agreement
. Middle class people are potential allies of the proletariat and our ability to win large numbers of them to at least ``friendly neutrality'' is crucial for the success of the revolution. Only the oppressors and die-hard accomplices of the oppressors should be treated as enemies. **(Only leave your graffitti items, literature, posters, etc…all over the ground for others to clean, and never forget that anyone who is actually PAYING taxes is an OPRESSOR)
Don't settle arguments, disputes or contradictions in the Party through fistfights or other violent means.
**(Yeah, that’s good, just spew violently and hug and make up…should one change party affiliations, don’t spit on him at all!!)
Don't remain silent at meetings and then gossip afterwards. Say all you know and say it without holding back anything.
**(Yes, don’t hold back, ever! How you “feel” about those nasty oppressors, just don’t say you disagree-see previous.)
Don't let things slide when a person has clearly made an error for the sake of remaining on friendly terms with that person. Party members must at all times fight for what is correct, wage principled line struggle and not fear criticism and self-criticism.
**(You should fear all criticism as you will be labeled a traitor to the cause and booted to the curb for not maintaining a principled line!!!)
Don't engage in personal attacks, pick fights, curse people or seek revenge because you have been criticized
. **(Yes, do not go to Tucson and suddenly spew and hit a Pro Oppressor, that’s not nice to do…see link above)
Don't use leadership positions to suppress criticism or to retaliate; don't use your position of leadership to lord it over others or to act like a “bigshot.”
**(This never happens, does it? Nancy, Harry, Rosie, Keith O., Al, Jesse never act as such?)
Don't discuss inner-Party struggle or business outside the Party. Practice criticism and self-criticism on these points and in general.
**(Because don’t want people to know we worship Hitler, Marx and Lenin and Mao, then it would give credence to the equality for the masses, hey? )
Why does the left think like this? I will never understand because I am not them...it jsut blows my mind. I hear friends say they are liberal, yet many are more conservative than they know. If I ask them do they want to give their hard-earned pay to someone who sits around all day, they say no. If I ask them do they believe in waiting 2 years for a back surgery to alleviate chronic pain which is debilitating to have equal access for all, I hear no. If I ask them do they want more gov't, no. Do they enjoy freedom of speech-yes. Does PC get under your skin,yes. You see where I am headed with this....But God-forbid I say, George Bush is still president...
